Parboiled-Reis ist schlichtweg Reis, der vor dem Entspelzen einer kurzen thermischen Behandlung mit unter Druck stehendem Wasserdampf unterzogen wurde. Dieses spezielle Verfahren erm\u00f6glicht den Erhalt eines h\u00f6heren N\u00e4hrwerts im Vergleich zu herk\u00f6mmlichem wei\u00dfem Reis. Dies ist darauf zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren, dass ein Teil der N\u00e4hrstoffe von der \u00e4u\u00dferen Schale in das Innere des Korns wandert. Zudem ver\u00e4ndern sich die physikalischen Eigenschaften, wodurch der Reis beim Kochen nicht verklebt, nicht \u00fcberm\u00e4\u00dfig aufquillt und stets k\u00f6rnig bleibt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
